Pepsi Stronger Together and partners give back to Atlanta restaurants and heroes during NBA All-Star 2021

While NBA All-Stars were giving it their all on the court during the 2021 NBA All-Star Game in Atlanta, we teamed up with Mountain Dew and partners to give back off the court. The highlights:

Donating $10K grants to Atlanta restaurants impacted by COVID-19

Four minority-owned Atlanta restaurants – The Slutty Vegan, Big Dave’s Cheesesteaks, Slim & Husky’s and Scoville Hot Chicken – got surprised with grants with the help of the Georgia Restaurant Association.

Feeding local heroes on the front lines

Each restaurant also gave back in their own way. They worked with us to deliver 2,000 lunches to hospital workers at Wellstar Atlanta Medical Center and Northside Hospital, paired with 2,000 Pepsi beverages and Mountain Dew cupcakes. The cupcakes, made by local baker Pastry Addict, honored our friend Shaquille O’Neal’s birthday.

Derek Lewis, President, South Division, PepsiCo Beverages North America, said, "In the true spirit of NBA All-Star, this is our way of celebrating some of the most deserving all-stars in the community.”
